Terms & Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Baseline Mentoring platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Baseline Mentoring.

3. User Accounts

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Maintain your account information and password securely.
  • Accept responsibility for account activity and notify us of unauthorised use.

4. Mentoring Relationships

Baseline Mentoring facilitates connections but does not guarantee successful matching, particular outcomes, the accuracy of user information, or suitability of mentoring.

5. User Conduct

  • Do not use the platform unlawfully, harass or harm others, impersonate anyone, distribute malicious code, or interfere with the platform.
  • Do not solicit commercially unless explicitly authorised.

6. Intellectual Property

The Baseline Mentoring platform and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Baseline Mentoring and protected by intellectual property law.

7. User Content

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it in connection with operating and promoting the platform.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baseline Mentoring is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages from use of the platform.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Baseline Mentoring and its team from claims arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for conduct that violates these terms or harms others.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law.

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

End User License Agreement (EULA)

1. License Grant

Baseline Mentoring grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not upload, post, or share content that is objectionable, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, illegal, misleading, or spam.

3. Zero-Tolerance Policy

  • Reports of objectionable content are reviewed within 24 hours.
  • Verified offending content is removed immediately.
  • Responsible users may be permanently removed from the platform.

4. Reporting Abuse

Report objectionable or abusive content to abuse@baselinementoring.com, including the user profile, a description, and relevant screenshots or links.

Community Guidelines

2. Professional Conduct

  • Maintain professionalism, honour commitments, set clear boundaries, and provide constructive feedback.

3. Honest Communication

  • Be authentic, provide accurate information, and acknowledge limitations.

4. Confidentiality

  • Respect privacy, use secure communication, and get permission before sharing another member’s information.

5. Quality Engagement

  • Be prepared, provide value, listen actively, and follow through on commitments.

6. Prohibited Behaviours

  • Harassment, hate speech, inappropriate content, solicitation, unauthorised promotion, misrepresentation, disclosure of confidential information, and illegal activity are prohibited.

7. Mentee Responsibilities

Set clear goals, be proactive, remain open to feedback, and respect your mentor’s time.

8. Mentor Responsibilities

Provide guidance, maintain objectivity, focus on development, and set realistic expectations.

9. Reporting Concerns

Use the reporting feature, document specific incidents, or contact community@baselinementoring.com for urgent concerns.

10. Enforcement

Violations may lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, permanent removal, or reporting to relevant authorities.

Data Security

We use robust measures to protect personal information.

  • Secure Storage: Data is stored in encrypted databases with restricted access.

Mentee Rights

As a mentee, you have the right to:

  • Receive respectful, professional guidance.
  • Change mentors if a relationship is not beneficial.
  • Set clear boundaries and keep your personal information confidential.
  • Provide feedback, request support, and decline advice that does not align with your goals.

Mentor Responsibilities

Mentors commit to providing honest, constructive guidance; respecting time and confidentiality; being transparent about expertise; creating a safe environment; reassessing goals; and upholding professional boundaries.

Dispute Resolution

If a conflict arises, we recommend direct communication first, then platform mediation, followed by a formal complaint where needed.

Our team may facilitate discussion, provide guidance, recommend alternative matches, or take disciplinary action. Contact disputes@baselinementoring.com.

Account Termination

We may terminate accounts for violating our Terms and Conditions, breaching Community Guidelines, harassment or discrimination, misrepresentation, unauthorised commercial use, or extended inactivity.
